Interns are first placed for a bridging period in our Youth Incubator where we help them transition between formal education and the working environment. They receive support, mentorship and skills training, readying them for a successful internship experience. When they are placed, they are ready to add value from the start, proving to employers their value.
Our reputation and experience in this field means that employers trust that we will only provide them with great candidates and reliable funding; ensuring that interns add value to their business.
Employers are often willing to host interns and learners, but within urgent time constraints. Our incubator model allows us to cater to time-sensitive requirements of employers, as we have a steady supply of interns and learners able to begin working at any given time. This averts the situation where interns are needed in a short time period, but traditionally still need to be sourced, interviewed and selected
We do not place candidates and then hope for the best. We engage regularly with the employer, ascertaining the progress of the programme and providing mentorship and guidance to both owners and interns on how to gain the most out of the partnership.
Youth Employment Service (YES) offers participating businesses a way to gain up to 2 additional levels in their B-BBEE scorecard. By sponsoring unemployed for 12 months in a workplace environment, businesses can gain significant benefits through an improved scorecard while being part of growing our economy.
