PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Lulaway provides an end-to-end Youth Employment Service (YES) implementation service to corporates looking to participate in YES. By providing functions like recruitment and placement to management, payroll and reporting, our unique positioning ensures the dozens of host companies and sponsors gets all the benefits with minimum hassle.

- 701 unemployed youth placements
- 58 host companies
- 82% retention rate
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Cell C funded the stipends for 386 young, unemployed South Africans who have been placed both internally and externally. To date Cell C has offered permanent positions to 22 interns with the intention of absorbing many more into their stores and supply chain.
Lulaway recruited 7 interns for the Head Office in various admin, sales and call centre capacities and 166 interns for Cell C stores nationwide.
Lulaway faciliatated the recruitment and placement of the remaining 213 interns at external hosts throughout the country.
TOTAL DIRECT STIPEND EXPENDITURE: R16 212 000
WHAT THE HOSTS SAY:
The interns are both able to work independently and execute
tasks on time. They are very pro-active and have become and
integral part of our team. We will be employing them on a full
time basis once the programme is completed – African Global Skills Academy (AGSA)
Our intern has caught on quickly and has become a big asset to
the company. We are planning to offer her a permanent job at
the end of the internship – Botsza
Both interns have been a big asset. There have been ups and
downs, as can be expected but on the whole has been a very
positive experience which they would do again. They will likely
absorb boht interns permanently.- Servtex
