Barloworld CSI Initiative

Through this impactful initiative, 30 young people from predominantly rural and peri-urban areas were placed into work opportunities across a diverse range of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). A total of 10 SMEs, varying in size, each hosted between one and five interns, significantly boosting their operational capacity and supporting business growth through the added human resources. As a testament to the success of the programme, approximately 50–60% of the participants secured permanent employment—either being retained by their host companies or successfully finding job opportunities elsewhere.
